A lot to post! (Tess)

Okay there is a lot to post! First you need to know that my family and I went to the Polynesian Cultural Center.  And there are exhibits for the 6 island nations Samoa, Fiji, New Zealand,Tahiti, Tonga , and of course Hawaii. The 1st picture is from the Samoa exhibit. They gave us information about Somoans and how they live that was really funny. Audrey had to drink coconut water straight from a coconut and as a reward got a weaved basket. I got a little weaved crown thing. One guy climbed a tree to get a coconut but there was none and everyone shouted jump jump jump sadly he didn’t. The second picture is me in front of these people carved of rock. The third is of the desserts i had at the buffet. I forget what the chocolate thing is called but the other thing is a pineapple bar. They were both delicious. The 4th is of a flower that is edible, it is called a Thai Orchid. The 5th is a picture of a pineapple whip from the Dole Plantation where they grow lots of pineapples, bananas, coffee beans and a bunch of other stuff. Fun fact, 90% of pineapplpes we eat in American come from the Dole Plantation. The final picture is of Audrey, James, and I on a paddleboared on the lagoon at out hotel.

So far the tip has been awesome and I’m looking forward to having more fun in Hawaii before heading to Australia.

  1. Sounds like you are having an awesome trip! My favorite picture is the one of you, Audrey, and James on the paddle-board. Was that tree with the guy on it really tall?

  3. Hi Tess! I was checking out your blog to see what you have been up to lately. I am planning on showing the class everything on Monday. Looks like you are having a great time!

A couple of summers ago I went to the Dole Plantation. Did you all do the maze? Did you find all the checkpoints? Did you enjoy the ice-cream? I think that was Ethan’s favorite part.

Keep posting! I love seeing your smiling face.

  6. In school you are missing us learning about the states of matter, yesterday we did an experiment with ice cubes to watch states of matter change. You missed Catholic Schools Week, PJ day, a guest speaker, faculty vs 8th grade volleyball (8th grade won) and USA day. In art we are making Valentine Day cards. Next week, on Valentine’s Day, we are in charge of mass. Daniel says you missed Taco Tuesday and the Talent Show.

    Miss you!
