A lot to post! (Tess)

Okay there is a lot to post! First you need to know that my family and I went to the Polynesian Cultural Center.  And there are exhibits for the 6 island nations Samoa, Fiji, New Zealand,Tahiti, Tonga , and of course Hawaii. The 1st picture is from the Samoa exhibit. They gave us information about Somoans and how they live that was really funny. Audrey had to drink coconut water straight from a coconut and as a reward got a weaved basket. I got a little weaved crown thing. One guy climbed a tree to get a coconut but there was none and everyone shouted jump jump jump sadly he didn’t. The second picture is me in front of these people carved of rock. The third is of the desserts i had at the buffet. I forget what the chocolate thing is called but the other thing is a pineapple bar. They were both delicious. The 4th is of a flower that is edible, it is called a Thai Orchid. The 5th is a picture of a pineapple whip from the Dole Plantation where they grow lots of pineapples, bananas, coffee beans and a bunch of other stuff. Fun fact, 90% of pineapplpes we eat in American come from the Dole Plantation. The final picture is of Audrey, James, and I on a paddleboared on the lagoon at out hotel.

So far the tip has been awesome and I’m looking forward to having more fun in Hawaii before heading to Australia.

What We Have Done (Audrey)

We have done so much stuff in the past 2 and a half days! First, on Saturday, (the 28th) we got up at 5. (Actually probably earlier for some of us) and went to the airport. We got on the flight, and endured 9 hours of extreme boredom, which I would have not survived without the help of Hamilton. We arrived at Honolulu, on the island O’ahu. We are staying at Hilton Hawaiian Village on Waikiki Beach. The next morning, we went to Mass. Then we went back to our hotel. There is this lagoon that is really cool. The water is turquoise and you can swim across it. On Monday, we woke up and then went for a walk on the beach, and met one of my mom’s friends, Jodie. Then we went to the lagoon and rented a paddle board and I did yoga on it. See below. Then we went to a restaurant called Duke’s. It is a Hawaiian restaurant on the ocean. We came back and went to the pool. The pool here has waterfalls, bridges and plants that make it really unique. We went to an Indian restaurant for dinner, and that is probably all we did today.
